Ride Cult / RideStats ("we", "our", "us") provides trip tracking, driving analytics, and social leaderboard features. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, and authentication provider details.
• Trip data: distance, duration, speed metrics, turn / brake / acceleration events, and related trip statistics.
• Sensor and location data: precise location and motion-sensor data while trip tracking is active. Location is collected during trips including when the app is running in the background or the screen is off, so your ride keeps recording. Location is not collected when you are not on an active trip.
• Usage data: app events and diagnostics used for analytics and reliability.

2. How we use data

• To provide trip tracking and scoring features.
• To maintain user profiles, groups, achievements, and leaderboards.
• To improve app performance and product quality.
• To secure accounts and prevent abuse.

3. Data sharing

• We may share limited data with service providers that help operate the app (for example, analytics and authentication providers).
• We do not sell personal data.

4. Data retention

• We retain data as needed to provide features and meet legal obligations.
• You may request account and data deletion as described on our Data Deletion page.

5. Data security

• We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
• Data in transit is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

6. Your choices

• You can stop location / motion collection by ending trip tracking or revoking the app's permissions in your device settings.
• You can request account deletion and associated data deletion at any time.

7. Children

Ride Cult is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
